Independent sources point to digital technology as the future of healthcare

In the past couple of days, two editorial pieces from unrelated sources have reported on a topic that is increasingly looking likely to be the mainstay of healthcare in the future.

The first article, in menafm.com reports that consumer digital devices such as smartphones and watches could be used to forecast sickness in their users, and in some cases before any symptoms are evident.

The second article, in entrepreneur.com, covers the inefficiencies in the US healthcare system compared to other comparable westernised nations, and how the key global online players such as Amazon, Apple, Facebook and Google are all aware of the massive opportunity presented by the huge current spending on healthcare by US consumers and have invested in the space to revolutionise the healthcare industry through digital technology.

The combined message of the stories is clear – that digital technology represents the future of healthcare. All of which is excellent news for the investment portfolio of Grace Century.

Grace Century President and Director of Research, Scott Wolf commented “These two stories fall smack in the sweet spot of our Portfolio companies in Grace Century – Blue Box, the PWeR platform, PWbR, and myPWeR, all of which were developed by the visionary CEO, Noel Guillama and his patents looking to change healthcare through technology as we know it”
