UK Parents Pay ?2,000 to Store Umbilical Cord Stem Cells

According to an article in the UK’s Daily Mail newspaper, parents in the UK are??paying up to ?2,000 to store their newborn babies’ stems cell – by freezing samples of the umbilical cord, taken at birth.

Doctors say that such stored cells have the potential to be?used to treat a large range of illnesses in future years.

“Storing of umbilical cord blood is now becoming mainstream and widely accepted” ?comments Scott Wolf, CEO and Director of Research of Grace Century.
