New technology “SkinGun” for skin grafting and burns treatment now available to medical professionals.

A radical new way of treating wounds to the skin that would traditionally be addressed by skin grafting is now available to medical professionals, according to an article on TecheBlog.com.

The RenovaCare’s “SkinGun” has been featured in various news stories in recent years, but only now is it available to the medical market. The device workings by spraying the previous-donated autologous (one’s own cells) stems cells of patient on injuries such as burns or other wounds that would usually be treated with skin grafts. The ‘SkinGun” is used in tandem with a a related process which harvests stems cells from a small sample of the patient’s skin.

Studies on the usage of this technique so far are showing positive results, with faster tissue generation being observed compared to traditional methods.
